Steel has been used by Rotelli as of the installation Voci del Mediterraneo created at Lodève (Francia) in the year 2000. The idea of a poem painted on matter reflecting reality is a constant reference in the works of the artist and carries back to the installation Save the Poetry created for the 53rd Internazionale Art Exhibition of la Biennale di Venezia. The metaphor of the shield is in line with the course in defence of minor languages.
